Whereas Management Accounting focuses on keeping the books within the organisation, Financial Accounting is concerned with keeping parties informed outside the organisation about of the company's performance. The first thing to think of then is the annual report, which is meant to inform parties like shareholders, suppliers and customers about how a company is doing financially. In this box, you go through all the items relevant to this one by one. Think stocks, fixed assets, current assets, and all other parts of the accounts. Also, as a business leasing in accounting records, and the subject concludes with a chapter on the analysis of these financial statements, something you will do almost daily as an accountant.

An annual subscription is a one-off payment, entitling you to all summaries (digital and/or paper) throughout the academic year. After the academic year, the subscription expires automatically.
